Terms of Service

Effective date: 11 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Hesta — the Hesta Business app for salons and beauty professionals, the Hesta app for customers, and the hesta.app website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. Hesta is operated from Romania.

1. The Service

Hesta is a booking platform: businesses publish their services, availability, and profile; customers discover businesses and book appointments. Hesta is the platform provider only — the appointment itself, and any contract for beauty or salon services, is between the customer and the business. Hesta is not a party to it and is not responsible for the services a business provides.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in method (phone number, social login) secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• Business accounts must be created by someone authorised to act for that business.

3. Bookings

• Customers agree to honour the appointments they book and to cancel within the cancellation window the business sets.
• Businesses set and are responsible for their own prices, availability, cancellation policies, and the quality of their services.
• Repeated no-shows or abusive booking behaviour may lead to account restrictions.

4. Content

• You keep ownership of the content you upload (photos, descriptions, reviews). You grant Hesta a licence to host and display it as needed to operate the Service — e.g. showing a business's profile and photos to customers.
• You may only upload content you have the rights to, and reviews must reflect a genuine experience. No unlawful, misleading, infringing, or offensive content.
• We may remove content that violates these terms or the law.

5. Instagram integration

• A business may connect its own Instagram Professional account. By connecting, the business confirms it is authorised to do so and instructs Hesta to display its own posts captioned #hesta on its public Hesta page.
• Only the business's own posts are used — never other users' content. The connection can be removed at any time in the app (Settings → Instagram → Disconnect), which deletes the stored data; see the data deletion page.
• Use of the integration is also subject to Instagram's own terms. The integration is provided as-is and may be affected by changes to Instagram's platform.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no unauthorised access, scraping, interfering with its operation, circumventing rate limits or security, impersonating others, or using it for unlawful purposes.

7. Fees

Core features are currently free. If we introduce paid plans, their pricing and terms will be presented before you subscribe, and continued use of paid features will require acceptance of those terms.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is part of these terms.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Hesta is not liable for the acts or omissions of businesses or customers, for indirect or consequential losses, or for interruptions outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes are subject to the Romanian courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
